Vernon Cops Reunite 2 Lost Dogs With Owners On Same Day
Vernon police said it's not all about crime and arrests as two lost dogs were rescued.
VERNON, CT — Vernon police over the weekend showed that it isn't always about crime and criminals. Officers spent a good chunk of time reuniting two lost dogs with their owners.
An Italian Greyhound who had slipped out of her collar on Vernon Avenue and ran toward Route 30 was located by Vernon Animal Control at about 10 p.j. Sunday night. The dog was tired and hungry, but alive, police said.
Social media posts and shares quickly spread the word and the dog was returned to her family, police said.
