Vernon Gets Risk Management Rebate
Vernon recently received a risk management reimbursement check.

VERNON, CT — Mayor Daniel A. Champagne, along with staff from the town administration, the finance department, and the Board of Education were recently presented with a check for $30,950 from the
Connecticut Interlocal Risk Management Agency of New Haven.
CIRMA is a not-for-profit, member-owned provider of liability insurance and risk management services for
Vernon and other Connecticut municipalities, school districts, and local public agencies.
The check was presented to Vernon as its pro-rated share of CIRMA’s Members’ Equity distribution for 2018.

“Vernon’s membership in CIRMA affords us the benefit of shared municipal experience; helping us to identify, minimize and manage future risk,” said Mayor Daniel A. Champagne. “This collaboration not only protects the town’s assets, but provides substantial cost savings to our residents.
"The partnership and risk management efforts of our members are a sustaining force behind CIRMA’s
outstanding financial strength, growth in service programs, and our ability to deliver a Members’ Equity
Distribution Program. Working together, we are making our communities better and safer places to live, learn, and work in,” said David Demchak, CIRMA president and chief executive officer.
