Vernon Man With 36 Convictions Arrested On 6 New Charges
Vernon resident with three-dozen convictions in his lifetime was charged again, police said.

VERNON, CT — A 54-year-old Vernon resident with three-dozen convictions in his lifetime was charged on Wednesday with five counts of violating a protective order, police said.
Mark Blouin was also charged second-degree breach of peace for the incident that triggered a warrant arrest for the protective order violations, according to a report. He was to appear in court Thursday after being held overnight on a $10,000 bond, records show.
The violations were domestic in nature, police said.

Blouin has a history of run-ins with Vernon police. Vernon Police Department records show he has 36 prior convictions.

- A seven-month sentence in January 2016 for third-degree assault
- A one-year sentence, suspended after eight months, in July 2013 for third-degree assault
- A three-pronged, five-year sentence, suspended after 8 months, in April 2012 for second-degree forgery, third-degree assault and violation of a protective order
