Vernon Man Revived With Narcan, Runs From Police

A man began running from police moments after being revived with drug overdose medication.

VERNON, CT — Moments after a he was revived by the anti-opioid drug Narcan by police, a Vernon man began running away because of an outstanding warrant, an arrest report indicates.

According to an arrest report, 31-year-old Richard Lialbo, who lives in the basement of 41 Talcott Ave., was found passed out on drugs at his home, just after midnight on Saturday, according to an arrest report.

Officer at the scene administered Narcan, a drug used to reverse opioid overdoses, and he was revived, according to an arrest report. Police said at about the same time they discovered he had an outstanding warrant out of Hartford for failing to appear in court on cannabis-related charges, Loalbo began running away from the home.

He was tackled a short distance away, police said.

He was charged in Vernon with interfering and with second-degree failure to appear in Hartford, police said.

He is due in court for the latter on Dec, 18 and the next day for the interfering charge, police said.
