Vernon Woman Cited for Cop Killing Threat After Roaming Dog Incident
The woman was also yelling in her holding cell, police said.

VERNON, CT — A woman who was initially cited for a roaming dog violation wound up spending a good portion of Monday yelling her in a holding cell after threatening to kill a police officer, according to an arrest report.
It was 6:41 when Vernon police responded to a disturbance at 11 Main St. In addition to two people arguing, a dog was roaming around the neighborhood, according to an arrest report. As police approached the two, one of them — 58-year-old Denise Tuttle of 11 Main St. — walked toward an officer, poked a finger in his chest and pushed him, according to an arrest report.
She then threatened to kill another officer at the scene, according to an arrest report.

After being transferred to police headquarters, she was unruly and yelling in a holding cell, police said. She could be heard yelling from the lockup downstairs from the offices above, police said.
Tuttle has until Sept. 15 to pay the dog infraction ticket, police said.

She was also charged with second-degree threatening and interfering with police, posted a $500 bond and was assigned a court date of Sept. 12, police said.
