Weapons Seized In Connection With Armed Robbery In Vernon
A "ghost gun" was used in an armed robbery in Vernon, police said.

VERNON, CT — Three people have been charged in connection with an armed robbery on a Vernon street, police said.
The crime took place at about 1:15 p.m. on April 2, according to an incident report. The victim in the case, a 16-year-old, called 911 to tell police about the robbery on Spring Street, police said.
The teen provided officers with a description of the vehicle involved, which was subsequently located by responding officers on Hartford Turnpike near West Street, according to an incident report.

Officers stopped the car and the three occupants surrendered without incident, according to an incident report.
During a subsequent search of the three occupants, officers recovered a 9mm privately manufactured handgun, commonly referred to as a "ghost gun," on one of the suspects, according to an incident report.

A second ghost gun was located inside the vehicle, along with a large knife, drug paraphernalia and the stolen money, according to an incident report.
Arrests reports indicate the incident revolved around a potential drug transaction.
Both firearms were equipped with "illegal high-capacity magazines," an incident report says.
Three were arrested:
- Nicole Alano, 18, of Hartford was charged with conspiracy to commit first-degree robbery, conspiracy to commit the sale of a narcotic substance, illegal possession of a large-capacity magazine, illegal possession of a weapon in a motor vehicle, carrying a pistol without a permit, failure to obtain a serial number on a weapon and conspiracy to commit fifth-degree larceny, according to an arrest report.
- Kamron McQueen 18, of Hartford, was charged with first-degree robbery with a deadly weapon, the sale of a narcotic substance, illegal possession of a large-capacity magazine, illegal possession of a weapon in a motor vehicle, carrying a pistol without a permit, failure to obtain a serial number on a weapon and fifth-degree larceny, according to an arrest report.
- Police said "a male juvenile" who was in the car was charged accordingly.
