Woman Accused of Ripping Off Sister While Sister Was in Jail
Police arrested a woman for ripping of her incarcerated sister, a warrant states.

VERNON, CT — A woman is accused of intercepting a new credit card issued to her sister while her sister was in jail for a harassment charge for an incident between them, police said.
Kathleen Texira, 60, who now lives in Hartford, was charged on Sunday with two counts of transactions on a revoked credit card, credit card theft by transfer and three counts of second-degree forgery, according to an arrest report.
According to an arrest warrant, Texira's sister had been arrested for an "ongoing harassment" involving the two of them. The two of them did not get along, according to a warrant.

Her sister cold not post her assigned bond to bail herself out and spent time in jail, according to a warrant.
Her sister had applied for a credit card before the arrest and it arrived at a Rockville residence during the incarceration, according to a warrant. Texira is accused of intercepting the card and getting cable service and making miscellaneous purchases at various stores, including $239.68 at a Vernon gas station, according to a warrant.

The sister eventually was released, according to a warrant.
The card was eventually declined at some stores, according to a warrant.
Texira posted a $10,000 bond and was assigned a court date of Feb. 27, police said.
