• Man Knocked Victim Unconscious During Assault In Walmart Parking Lot: Wallingford PD (patch.com) — Wallingford police say a man was knocked unconscious during a July 25 assault in the Walmart parking lot on North Colony Road, suffering serious head and facial injuries. Investigators used surveillance video to identify Darel Hernandez Vargas as the suspect, and he was arrested on August 18 on assault and related charges, then released on bond ahead of an August 27 court date.
