• Wallingford police arrest 2 in separate financial fraud investigations (fox61.com) — Wallingford police have arrested two adults and a juvenile in separate fraud investigations involving more than $34,000 in allegedly stolen and forged business checks and a hotel scheme using multiple victims' payment cards. Detectives say they traced money through banks and financial apps to identify suspects from East Granby and Hamden, who now face significant charges and upcoming court dates.
   

• Wallingford Police arrest four in separate hotel and mail fraud schemes (wfsb.com) — Wallingford police have charged four people in two detailed fraud schemes involving stolen credit cards at a local extended-stay hotel and forged business checks taken from the mail. Investigators say tens of thousands of dollars were involved, with suspects from Hamden and East Granby allegedly using multiple victims' payment information and bank accounts to move the money.
   

• CT-owned intersections are getting video detection upgrades. What that means for drivers (courant.com) — Drivers in Wallingford should expect weekday lane restrictions as the state upgrades traffic signals at Route 150's intersections with Hill Avenue/Chapel Street and with South Airline Road/Kondracki Lane. New camera and radar systems will replace in-road sensors starting October 17, aiming to reduce delays and improve safety without recording or ticketing drivers, with work continuing through 2027.
