Report: Employees Thwart Attempted Robbery of Neil's Donuts in Wallingford
A man attempted to rob the shop at knife-point early Wednesday morning.

Wallingford police are investigating an attempted knife-point robbery of Neil’s Donuts on North Turnpike Road early Wednesday morning, according to the Meriden Record-Journal.
The Record-Journal reports that a man displaying a knife entered through a back door around 1:30 a.m., soon after employees had arrived at the shop to start making the donuts.
The employees pushed a baking rack between themselves and the man, who fled the scene without any money, police told the Record-Journal.

The suspect is described as a white man around 20 to 25 years old of average height with brown hair and a trimmed chin-strap beard, according to the Record-Journal.
