The Day After: Everything In Danbury Is Closed, Parking Ban Extended: UPDATE
Sunday's snowstorm is mostly over, but the cleanup the day after has Danbury officials opting to close all city buildings.
DANBURY, CT — In addition to public schools, several other City of Danbury facilities are closed on Monday due to Sunday's snowstorm.
Due to severe winter weather, Danbury City Hall and all non-emergency city buildings will be closed on Monday, Jan. 26.
The city said a "Level 2 Snow Emergency" remains in effect.

"Stay safe, check on your neighbors, and avoid unnecessary travel," wrote the city on Sunday.
Danbury Public Schools officials also quickly cancelled classes for Monday, Jan. 26, due to weather conditions. This includes the offices and adult education.

"Please be sure to monitor district communications tomorrow for updates regarding Tuesday," wrote the city.
City leaders Monday afternoon, opted to extend the parking ban to 7:30 a.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 27, as clean-up efforts continue.
"No parking is permitted on any City roads until the snow emergency is lifted. This allows our Public Works crews to continue clearing and treating streets safely and effectively," wrote the city.
"The Bardo and Patriot Parking Garages will remain available for free parking through Tuesday morning."
