West Hartford 911 Service Operating As Normal Now: WHPD: UPDATE
The issue is part of a statewide problem being reported in other towns.
WEST HARTFORD, CT — Local police were reporting difficulties relative to 911 emergency calls in town on Tuesday, but later in the afternoon, they reported the problem was fixed for now.
Initially, the West Hartford Police Department said, they were "receiving information that Verizon Wireless and landline are not working for 9-1-1."
According to police, T-Mobile and AT&T appeared to be working for 9-1-1, while all routine lines are down for the WHPD.

Anyone having issues with "911" could text "911," town officials said.
West Hartford police said this was similar to other reports of 911 problems statewide, with a state emergency alert being sounded off at 1:15 p.m. about the problem.

The WHPD said state authorities are investigating the matter.
By 2:42 p.m., the WHPD was reporting all lines were working again.

West Hartford PD routine phone lines are experiencing technical difficulties. 9-1-1 is still operating for emergencies. Other Towns are experiencing similar phone line issues. The State is aware of this issue and working to correct it.
