West Hartford Nursing Center Fined by State

Rehabilitation center cited for failing to supervise a patient who reportedly became violent.

A West Hartford nursing center was among four centers in the state fined recently.

According to a New Haven Register article, the West Hartford Health & Rehabilitation Center was fined $1,160 after an incident in which one patient accused the other of sexual assault and the accused patient became violent.

There was not enough evidence to substantiate the sexual assault accusation, police said, but the accused, a 28-year-old Hartford man, became so angry that he reportedly “became enraged, shouted at the accuser to recant, then threw a TV at the accuser,” the article says.
