The family of the Redding attorney who died under what the family calls mysterious circumstances will march to get #Justice4Abe.

The family of a young black Redding attorney who was found dead under what the family is calling mysterious circumstances is bringing their case to Washington, D.C., according to a release from the family.
The are marching in a Justice or Else! rally on Saturday, Oct. 11, 2015.
Gugsa Abraham “Abe” Dabela was 35 when he was found dead after a car wreck in Redidng in April of 2014. When police arrived they found Dabela with a bullet wound to his head. The family, along with the Connecticut chapter of the NAACP, launched their own investigation after what they say was a “shoddy investigation done by the Redding Police Department.”

The Medical Examiner ruled Dabela’s death a suicide, however the family said there are a lot of unanswered questions and believe he was murdered. They claim the Redding Police Department thwarted efforts to find his Dabela’s killer.
“From the moment of their public pronouncement, the Redding Police Department embarked on an investigation not to search for the truth but to confirm their premature conclusion,” said Dr. Abraham Dabela, Abe’s father. “Their actions have heretofore hindered attempts to bring a murderer to justice, but our family will not rest until the perpetrator is behind bars.”
