My Bachelor’s is in Holistic Health & Nutrition and I also graduated from culinary school.

What is your occupation?

I am the Director of Dining Services for Darien Public schools and oversee the food program for 7 schools within the district. This is my fourth academic year in Darien. Before that I was in Weston for three years.

Do you have a family? If so, please tell us about them.

I’m married to a wonderful husband and I have a 14 year old son and a 17 year old daughter.

Does anyone in your family work in politics or government?

No

Have you ever held a public office, whether appointive or elective?

No

Now we'd like to ask a few questions about your reasons for running and your general views on politics and government. First, why are you seeking this office?

I have always been motivated to get involved. I think the education and wellbeing of our children should be a top priority for our community.

Please complete this statement: The single most pressing issue facing my constituents is ___, and this is what I intend to do about it.

Maintaining balance. Our district has faced some turmoil over the last few years. Although we may have differing opinions, I think finding balance and remembering to keep our children’s education first needs to remain the priority.

What are the major differences between you and the other candidates seeking this post?

As my race is uncontested, I look forward to working with each candidate on the ballot.

What other issues do you intend to address during your campaign?

The two issues I’m most passionate about are childhood nutrition through school lunch and our special education program supporting neurodivergence.

What accomplishments in your past would you cite as evidence you can handle this job?

I am a volunteer for the Redding Area Chapter of the National Charity League; I’ve been on the Board for five years and have held several board positions including that of president.

What is the best advice anyone ever gave you?

Always be your most authentic self, it’s always your best side.

Is there anything else you would like voters to know about yourself and your positions?

I am here to listen, learn and give it my all for our community.
