Search of Landfill Offers No Clues in Easton Couple's Disappearance
State Police searched the landfill as part of their investigation into the couple's disappearance.

The search for missing Easton couple Jeffrey and Jeanette Navin continues as their whereabouts remain a mystery.
During the week of Aug. 18, State Police searched the Putnam Ash Residue Landfill where no human remains were discovered. The landfill was searched as an effort to rule it out as a possible location.
The Navins have been missing since Aug. 4. Easton Police Department initiated an investigation and searched for the couple throughout that weekend.

State Police found a vehicle that belonged to the Navins in the exit 42 commuter lot off the Merritt Parkway on Aug. 9.
The Connecticut State Police Western District Major Crime Squad took over the investigation on Aug. 19.

The Navin’s son, Kyle Navin, 27, is now also considered missing. In their search efforts, State Police searched Kyle’s Bridgeport home this week.
The couple was $2.2 million in debt on a Guilford residence and had an electric bill balance of more than $130,000, according to court records.
Family members said that finances were not a factor in their disappearance.
