Man Dies at Construction Site in Westport: Police
The accident occurred Tuesday afternoon off Compo Road North.

WESTPORT, CT — A construction worker died of injuries he suffered in an accident at a site off Compo Road North Tuesday afternoon, according to Westport police.
Details of the accident have not been released, nor has the victim's identity, pending notification of next of kin.
Police said emergency personnel were summoned to the scene at about 12:21 p.m. on a report of an "unresponsive male." Westport Police, Westport EMS and Westport Firefighters all responded to the construction site and "quickly determined that the male was unresponsive as a result of a construction accident."

First Responders provided medical aid until Westport EMS took over and transported the patient to Norwalk Hospital, where the victim died as a result of his injuries.
"The Westport Police Detective Bureau is currently investigating the incident with the assistance of Fairfield PD, Trumbull PD, CT State Police, and Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA)," police said in a statement.
