The Watermark Offers “Walk for Life” Fitness Program

Program provides socialization and physical activity for seniors

The Watermark at 3030 Park is pleased to announce that its “Walk for Life” exercise program is now open to the public; with sessions being held every Monday at 10:00 a.m. at the retirement community’s fitness center, located at 3030 Park Avenue on the Bridgeport-Fairfield town line.

Walk for Life is a walking fitness program that can be customized to fit anyone’s ability and desire to walk. Whether done casually or competitively, this program is an effective strategy for overall health and well-being. Studies have shown that walking even short distances can greatly reduce the risk of heart disease and can improve your immune system, overall balance and stamina.

Participants are invited to log their distance and time for week-to-week comparison.
