Westport Board of Selectmen to Consider Town Property Use Requests
A trio of groups are seeking to use various town-owned properties for events in August, September and October.

Westport, CT - At its next meeting, the town's Board of Selectmen will review requests by three separate groups to use town property for their upcoming events, among other agenda items. The board's meeting is scheduled for 8:30 a.m. on Wednesday in Room 307/309 in Westport Town Hall.
The requests are for annual event sponsored by Toquet Hall and the Westport Library; the William Raveis Charitable Fund; and the Downtown Merchants Association.

- To take such action as the meeting may determine to approve the use of Jesup Green on Saturday, August 13, 2016 from 6:00 pm to 11:00 pm for the Movie Classic event, sponsored by the Westport Library and Toquet Hall, contingent upon compliance with comments from various town departments and in accordance with Procedures for Use of Town-owned Property, Facilities and/or Public Roadways.
- To take such action as the meeting may determine to approve the use of various Town roadways on Sunday, October 16, 2016 from 8:30 am to 10:30 am for the William Raveis Ride and Walk event sponsored by The William Raveis Charitable Fund, contingent upon compliance with comments from various town departments and in accordance with Procedures for Use of Town-owned Property, Facilities and/or Public Roadways.
- To take such action as the meeting may determine to approve the use of Town Property known as the Imperial Avenue and Upper Library Parking Lots from Friday, September 3, 2016 at 8:00 pm (set-up) through Monday, September 5, 2016 at 6:00 pm (breakdown) for the Blues, Views and Barbeque Festival sponsored by the Westport Downtown Merchants Association, contingent upon compliance with comments from various town departments and in accordance with Procedures for Use of Town-owned Property, Facilities and/or Public Roadways.
