On Friday, around 10:14 p.m., the Wilton Police Department received a report of a van striking an employee at the Wheels Gas Station. The witness said the collision occurred at 386 Danbury Road, and the driver fled the scene.

Officers located a vehicle matching the van's description, a 2007 Ford E350, and pulled over the driver, later identified as Jonathan Arce Hidalgo, 37, of Danbury Road in Wilton.

According to the police report, Arce Hidalgo got into a disagreement with an employee at the gas station earlier in the day and left the business with the gas pump still in his vehicle. He allegedly returned to the business later in the evening, and was argumentative with an employee, before he "got back into his vehicle and proceeded to strike the employee before driving away," according to police.
