Wilton's Commonfund Says Nonprofits Averaging 21 Percent ROI
Commonfund of Wilton reports encouraging signs for nonprofit organizations, but still points to tough times ahead.
Offer someone a 21 percent return on their personal investment and they're likely to jump at the chance, after they pick their jaw up off the floor.
That's the rate that nonprofits are averaging on their own investments recently, Wilton-based Commonfund is reporting according to the Associated Press. Those returns are the "highest they've seen in years."
The bad news is that coupled with the losses most nonprofits endured during the recession, "total recovery could take as long as a decade."
