WILTON, CT — Assault and DUI were at the top of the Wilton Police Department blotter the last couple of weeks.
Shortly before 9 a.m. on July 16, Wilton Police officers were dispatched to a Pimpewaug Road business on a report of an assault.
Following their investigation, police arrested Bonifacio Trejo-Vargas, 44, of Allview Avenue in Norwalk on a charge of first-degree assault. According to the police report, Trejo-Vargas got into a fight with a co-worker, who sustained serious physical injury. The suspect paid 7 percent of his $2,500 bond and is set to appear in Stamford Superior Court on July 26.

On July 17, the Wilton Police Department served Anthony Villano, 64, of Old Mill Road in Weston with an arrest warrant for first degree failure to appear in court. The suspect was fingerprinted, photographed and released back to the custody of Stamford Superior Court Judicial Marshals to await arraignment later this same day.
Villano is currently jailed for an unrelated offense and is being held on a $15,000 court set bond from that arrest. His latest warrant stems from a Wilton PD case where Villano was charged with first-degree larceny and improper use of marker/license/registration.

At around 1:50 a.m. on July 12, police pulled over a Toyota Rav4 they say was speeding on Danbury Road. The driver, Jaylen Craft, 26, of Harriet Street in Norwalk, told police he had been drinking alcohol prior to driving, according to their report.
Craft was unable to perform the Standard Field Sobriety Tests to standard, and was charged with DUI and speeding, according to police.He was afforded the opportunity to pay 7 percent of his $300 bond and is scheduled to appear at Stamford Superior Court on July 25.
