Bell Ensembles Concert

Music on the Hill presents a chamber concert of music for handbells.

Music on the Hill's handbell concert on Sunday afternoon, November 11, will be a treat for the eye and the ear. Varied bell ensembles -- from solos (one ringer, many bells) to quartets, sextets and more -- will perform popular classics in a singular way.

Selections include the Bach Prelude in C with "Ave Maria," a movement from Carnival of the Animals by Saint-Saëns, "Concert Waltz" by Scott Joplin, and other familiar classics, each involving many bells played musically by a small number of ringers.

The concert begins at 3 p.m. at WEPCO Parish Hall in the WEPCO church complex, 48 New Canaan Road in Wilton. Donations welcome; $20 suggested.
