About 10 minutes before 3 a.m. on Sept. 21, Wilton police pulled over a 2018 Ford F350 traveling north bound on Danbury Road. According to the police report, the driver Guilherme Leite Rocha, 33, of Hospital Avenue in Danbury, was having difficulty maintaining his lane in the roadway, and appeared to be under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
Leite Rocha admitted to drinking alcohol prior to driving, and failed to perform the standardized field sobriety tests to standard, according to police. He submitted to chemical testing, and his blood alcohol content levels were measured at 0.1203 and 0.1211 consecutively. In Connecticut, the limit for driving is 0.08 percent for those 21 and older.

Coreas Castro later told police had been drinking alcohol, and failed to perform standardized field sobriety tests to standard. The results of his chemical blood testing indicated alcohol levels of 0.3223 and 0.3282. He was charged with DUI, driving without a license, failure to keep right, and issued a $300 bond.
Coreas Castro was assigned a court date of Sept. 20 at Stamford Superior Court.
On Sept. 22, Wilton officers stopped a Honda Civic traveling North on Danbury Road with no front plate after it failed to obey the traffic control signal. Prior to stopping, police say the motorist, Brian Montalvo-Cortina, 37, of Old Ridgebury Road in Danbury, threw a white object out of the driver's side window.
Police recovered the object, and determined it was a folded paper containing a small amount of a white powdery substance which later tested presumptive positive for cocaine.
At the time of the stop, Montalvo-Cortina initially failed to follow the officers' commands, according to their report.
Montalvo-Cortina was eventually taken into custody and charged with possession of a controlled substance and interfering with an officer, along with failure to display plates, and two counts of failure to obey a traffic control signal. He was released after he posted 7 percent of the $2,000 bond, and was assigned to be in Stamford Superior Court on Oct. 4.
