This Sunday&nbsp;will be a multi-generational service, so children are invited to stay in the sanctuary with their parents or caregivers. Adult-supervised nursery care (0-preK) is available.&nbsp; As Rev Terri shares:&nbsp;"We begin our congregational year with rituals of heritage and belonging, while also looking with hope to the year ahead. Let us gather once more in community to honor our past and envision our shared future." +++ All are always welcome to our Unitarian Universalist services at UU Westport, offered each Sunday at 10 AM, both in person and&nbsp;<a href="https://uuwestport.org/livestream/" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener">live-streamed online</a>. Services usually include a time of reflection/prayer/meditation; wonderful music; readings; and a homily or sermon to lend insight into our world and how we interact with it and with each other. 
The <a href="https://uuwestport.org/mission-statement/about-our-ministers-2/" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">Rev. Terri Dennehy</a> presides over our time together that includes participation from multiple congregants, guests, and friends. Music Director&nbsp;<a href="https://uuwestport.org/music-program/our-minister-of-music/" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener">Micah Krajca</a>&nbsp;leads our choirs. Separate children's programming and nursery care is usually available during the service, 10-11:15AM, although this Sunday (9/13) the children are invited to stay in the sanctuary with their parents for this special multi-generational service. Nursery care (ages 0- preK) is always available. Dress code is as you feel comfortable.

On Monday, September 14, 2026 Humanists and Freethinkers of Fairfield County (HFFC) will feature
the Fairfield Country Rep of the American Civil Liberties Union of Connecticut, Amber Vlangas, who will discuss the ongoing national attack on voting rights and how CT residents can help. &nbsp;She can also discuss other current issues on ACLU CT’s radar, including privacy, immigrant rights and protections for the right to demonstrate. 

Amber Vlangas is a civil liberties activist who has served as the Fairfield County Engagement Officer with the ACLU CT for nearly five years. After serving in the United States Marine Corps and earning her B.A. in Visual and Public Communication, Amber has spent more than 25 years in nonprofit outreach, organizing, and resource development. She currently serves on the steering committees and leadership teams of several national groups and co-hosts the podcast Amplified Voices.

The ACLU of Connecticut defends, promotes, and expands the civil rights and civil liberties of all people in Connecticut through litigation, community organizing and legislative advocacy, and civic education and engagement. Organized in 1948, it is an inclusive, non-partisan, and statewide organization within the nationwide American Civil Liberties Union network. 

This meeting is free and open to all.&nbsp;&nbsp;Join us in Wilton for the presentation and the social gathering beforehand.&nbsp; (We will supply the address after you register.) Gourmet pizza and refreshments will be served from 6:15-7:00 PM.&nbsp;The presentation will start at 7:00. &nbsp;We will also be recording and broadcasting this meeting virtually via Zoom for anyone who is unable to join us in person; check in is at 6:45.&nbsp;

Thornton Wilder’s 1938 Pulitzer Prize-winning play, Our Town, is a timeless exploration of the human experience. Set in the fictionalized small town of Grover's Corners, New Hampshire, between 1901 and 1913, it follows the daily routines, loves, and tragedies of the Gibbs and Webb families. The play is famously performed with limited stage scenery and almost no props, using pantomime to encourage audiences to focus on the universal themes rather than design.
