Fire Log: Gas Leak and a Smoking AC Unit

Tuesday, May 25

• 1:45 AM: Danbury Road, medical emergency. Firefighters provided patient care, and assisted EMS and paramedic.
• 8:31 AM: River Road, gasoline leak.  Upon arrival, FD personnel found a car leaking gasoline.  Firefighters contained and cleaned up the spill, vehicle was towed for repairs.
• 1:13 PM: Silver Springs Road, carbon monoxide alarm.  Accidental activation of the alarm system, no carbon monoxide present.
• 1:20 PM: Wolfpit Road, fire alarm.  Apparent malfunction of the alarm system, no fire or hazards present.
• 2:44 PM: Danbury Road, fire alarm.  Apparent malfunction of the alarm system, no fire or hazards present.
• 3:59 PM: Raymond Lane, lock out.  FD personnel assisted a resident who was locked out of her home with gaining entry.
• 5:53 PM: Danbury Road, medical emergency. Firefighters provided patient care, and assisted EMS and paramedic.
• 7:17 PM: Ridgefield Road, fire alarm.  Apparent malfunction of the alarm system, no fire or hazards present.
• 9:50 PM: Village Court, medical emergency.  Cancelled on arrival by EMS.

Wednesday, May 26

• 12:05 AM: Village Court, medical emergency.  Cancelled on arrival by EMS.
• 10:00 AM: Tanners Drive, vehicle fire.  Upon arrival, firefighters found a well involved engine compartment fire.  FD personnel extinguished the fire and overhauled area.  Cause of the fire is under investigation.
• 5:23 PM: Danbury Road, medical emergency. Firefighters provided patient care, and assisted EMS and paramedic.
• 5:55 PM: Blue Ridge Road, medical emergency. Firefighters provided patient care, and assisted EMS and paramedic.
• 7:11 PM: Danbury Road, fire alarm.  Apparent malfunction of the alarm system, no fire or hazards present.
• 7:36 PM: Mathers Street, overheated motor.  Upon arrival FD personnel found a building filled with smoke, due to an over heated motor on an air conditioning unit.  Power to unit was shut off, and building ventilated.  Occupant advised to have system serviced.

Thursday, May 27

• 3:30 PM: Blue Ridge Road, medical emergency. Firefighters provided patient care, and assisted EMS and paramedic.
• 7:18 PM: Whipstick Road, fire alarm.  Accidental activation of the alarm system, no fire or hazards present.

Friday, May 28

• 12:30 AM: Blue Ridge Road, medical emergency. Firefighters provided patient care, and assisted EMS and paramedic.
• 5:08 AM: Thayer Pond Road, medical emergency. Firefighters provided patient care, and assisted EMS and paramedic.
• 10:50 AM: Danbury Road, medical emergency. Firefighters provided patient care, and assisted EMS and paramedic.
• 4:50 PM: Nod Hill Road, medical emergency. Firefighters provided patient care, and assisted EMS and paramedic.
• 5:55 PM: Danbury Road, medical emergency. Firefighters provided patient care, and assisted EMS and paramedic.
