The new superintendent of schools in our small town left a phone message before school started for parents and their children. He was encouraging students to be kind and welcoming, especially to kids new to the district. He said kindness is contagious. And it is.
What a wonderful message! Kindness is contagious! Spread some around!

If we each smile at one more person a day. Share an encouraging word with each other. Ask someone who looks a bit lost if they need help. Treat each other with kindness and respect. We each can make a difference in someone’s life.
Think about our children. If we start their day with a genuine eye-to-eye smile or a hug. If we say just one encouraging thing when they come home from school. We can make such a difference in their lives.

To our new superintendent: thank you for sharing this beautiful message. While we no longer have kids in the district, you made a huge difference, as many people who shared this message. Thank you for your kindness to our community. Pass it on.
