Music on the Hill Summer Chorus Starts July 10
New and returning singers, including students, welcome for the 16th annual Summer Chorus.
Join this year's Summer Chorus for Randall Thompson's Frostiana and other American music with guest conductor Kaitlin Lazere.
The Summer Chorus, with 50 - 60 singers, meets each July to rehearse and perform a major work from the classical choral repertoire. It's a chance to sing during the summer when other groups do not meet; to sing a longer work or with a larger group; or to return to singing. Student singers may bring their musical parents. All are welcome.
Rehearsals are Tuesdays and Thursdays, 7 to 9 p.m., starting July 10 with a concert on Thursday evening, August 2, all at St. Matthew's Episcopal Church in Wilton, 36 New Canaan Road.

About Music on the Hill
Music on the Hill promotes engagement with music by offering workshops, the Summer Sings series, and opportunities to perform through four ensembles -- Summer Chorus, Festival Chorus, Chamber Chorus, and the Jubilate Ringers handbell choir -- all under the leadership of artistic directors David H. Connell (D.M.A.) and Ellen Dickinson (M.M.)
Music on the Hill ensembles are project-based: participants join for one music project at a time, one rehearsal/concert cycle lasting four to six weeks. Each ensemble consists of both new and returning members, with new participants always welcome.
