Police Charge 18-Year-Old Wilton Man With Stabbing Of Juvenile

Police have charged an 18-year-old Wilton man with first-degree assault following the stabbing of a boy.

WILTON, CT — Police have charged an 18-year-old Wilton man with first-degree assault, following the alleged stabbing of a juvenile.

Wilton police were contacted by the Norwalk Police Department at around 5 p.m. on Dec. 23 regarding a male victim being treated for stab wounds at the Norwalk Hospital emergency room.

The alleged stabbing was reported to have happened in Wilton. The suspect was also reported to be at the hospital with the victim and detained by Norwalk police officers.

The Wilton officers who responded to the hospital found the victim being treated for two stab wounds. Investigation identified a crime scene in the roadway of Orems Lane in Wilton, according to Patrol Officer Eric Patenaude.

The suspect detained by the Norwalk Police Department was identified as Aidan Cruickshank, 18, of Ridgefield Road in Wilton, and known to the victim.

Police report that the victim drove himself to Norwalk Hospital in his vehicle along with Cruickshank and a juvenile witness. The knife used in the assault was later recovered inside the vehicle.

The victim was treated at Norwalk Hospital for non-life-threatening injuries and has since been discharged.

Police are currently holding Cruickshank on a $250,000 bond, according to their report.
