WILTON, CT — Police are reporting they have charged a Danbury man with criminal trespass after he gave them a false ID while on the grounds of a Wilton teen center.
The Wilton Police Department responded to a call from staff at the Genesis educational program operating out of Trackside Teen Center at 15 Station Road around 12:38 p.m. on Thursday. The complainant told police a man had entered the front door while a class of students were in session and was asked by employees to leave.
The man then walked around the inside of the building before leaving the facility, but remained on the property outside by walking to the rear of the property, according to the police report.

Wilton police officers met up with the man matching the description in the complaint near the intersection of Danbury Road and Station Road. Police say the man, Charlton White, 26, of Farm Street in Danbury, gave them a fake name and date of birth when they questioned him, and fled when confronted with the truth.
Police chased White to a spot near the railroad tracks located behind the Village Market where they took him into custody "without further incident." White had three existing warrants for arrest issued by the Danbury Police Department, according to the arrest report.
