Police Log: Curious Case of Alleged Domestic Violence

• Police responded to a complaint of a domestic incident at a residence on Chessor Lane, where there was a gathering of people ranging in age from mid-teens to their early 20s. The reported victim was an unidentified female minor who did not come forward herself, but was identified by a third party. Police said that after interviewing numerous people, they prepared an arrest warrant application and presented it to a prosecutor. However, due to inconsistencies in the testimonies given by some of the party attendees and the reported victim's hesitancy to cooperate, the proescutor declined to sign the arrest warrant. 

Friday, June 4

• John H. Hayward, Jr., 70, of Wilton was charged with disorderly conduct stemming from a domestic incident between husband and wife in which the accused struck his wife over her left shoulder. He was released on a PTA and had a June 7 court date.

Monday, June 7

• Donna M. Robinson-Molnar, 41, of Wilton was charged with breach of peace after a verbal argument during which she struck her boyfriend and left his residence. She was released on a PTA and had a June 8 court date.
• A vehicle parked at Bruce Bennett Nissan in a grass patch off of North Main Street had its tires and rims stolen between June 5 and 7. The car was discovered on cinder blocks on Monday. The stolen parts were worth about $2,500.
