Police Log: Harrassment by Text Message and a Dryer Goes Missing

• Jeffrey Klein, 54, of Norwalk was observed having difficulty keeping his vehicle in his lane of travel as he was headed southbound on Route 7. He failed field sobriety tests and was arrested for DUI and failure to drive right on a curve. He was released on a PTA and has a July 13 court date.
• Patricia Goldring, 44, of Wilton was charged with second degree harassment as a result of a domestic incident where numerous phone calls and text messages were sent to her husband in an ongoing domestic dispute. She was released on a PTA and had a July 1 court date.
• Kyle O'Melia, 20, of Stamford left his vehicle at the intersection of Olmstead Hill Road and Nod Hill Road. The vehicle had become disabled due to a leaky radiator. The vehicle had been involved in an accident several days earlier. O'Melia returned to the scene and explained to officers that he had no cell phone service and had left for better reception. He was found to be under suspension and was charged with driving under suspension and operating without insurance. He was held on $250 bond and has a July 8 court date.
• April Pardee, 19, of Danbury caused a five-car accident on Danbury Road. Pardee was apparently following too closely and could not stop in time before hitting Scott Meserve, 44, of Danbury. The collision caused a chain reaction that lead to three other vehicles being damaged. Only one driver, Mariela Albu, 42, of Danbury was injured and taken to Danbury Hospital by ambulance. Pardee was charged with following too closely and was released on a PTA and has a July 9 court date.
• A commonly used dryer at 200 Danbury Road went missing from its basement location. It was last seen on June 30 and anyone with any information is encouraged to contact police.

Thursday, July 1

• John C.Buckley, 34, of Rowayton was stopped for failure to drive right and speeding on Route 7. There was a smell of what seemed to be an alcoholic beverage emanating from his vehicle and Buckley subsequently failed field sobriety tests. He was placed in custody and also admitted to having marijuana in the vehicle. After searching the vehicle, police discovered marijuana and drug paraphernalia. Buckley was charged with DUI, possession of marijuana and possession of paraphernalia. He was released on a PTA and has a July 15 court date.

Friday, July 2

• Police responded to a male calling for help in the woods near the Village Walk apartments. Derrick Astin, 20, of Bridgeport was charged with disorderly conduct, possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia and Alex Orsher, 18, of Wilton was charged with possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia. Saturday, July 3

• William Hutchinson, 22, of Wilton turned himself in to police after learning of a warrant for his arrest stemming from charges from a motor vehicle accident on April 4. During that incident, Hutchinson lost control of his car and struck a utility pole on English Drive. Hutchinson was taken to the hospital and police used a warrant to investigate blood records for his BAC. Hutchinson was charged with DUI, failure to drive right and failure to carry a license. He posted $5,000 bond and has a July 13 court date.
