Wilton Man Accused Of Possessing Child Pornography: Police

Police tracked down the suspect after obtaining a search warrant for the IP address associated with the child pornography distribution.

WILTON, CT — Police have arrested a Wilton man on child pornography charges.

The Connecticut State Police Internet Crimes Against Children taskforce notified the Wilton Police Department on Nov. 1, 2022 that the distribution of child sexual abuse material may have occurred in town.

After obtaining a search warrant for the IP address associated with the pornography distribution, state police discovered a Buckingham Ridge Road residence among the distribution points, and alerted Wilton police.

During the investigation, police identified two suspects were identified, Eduardo Barajas-Mendoza and Miguel Mendoza.

On Nov. 17, 2023 members of the Wilton Police Department, with the assistance of the regional Technical Investigations Unit, conducted a search of the Buckingham Ridge Road address, seizing numerous items for forensic examination, according to police.

In their investigation, police discovered 153 individual child pornography video files. Police said the devices were under the control of Eduardo Barajas-Mendoza, 37, who had been using the identity of Miguel Mendoza as an alias for work purposes.

Barajas-Mendoza was arrested via warrant and charged with multiple counts of child pornography possession. He was held on a $175,000 bond and was scheduled to be arraigned at Stamford Superior Court on Jan. 30.
