Safely Dispose of Prescription Drugs Saturday
Drug Enforcement Administration holds sixth annual National Prescription Drug Take-Back Day.
As part of National Prescription Drug Take-Back Day on Saturday, the town is encouraging residents to bring unwanted, unused and expired prescription drugs to Police Headquarters, 240 Danbury Rd., and dispose of them in the drug drop box in the lobby.
The Drug Enforcement Administration says in the five previous Take-Back Day events, it, in conjunction with its state, local, and tribal law enforcement partners, collected more than 2 million pounds (1,018 tons) of prescription medications.
