WILTON, CT — Shoplifting, road rage, and DUI were at the top of the Wilton police blotter this past week.
The Wilton Police Department charged Fairfield resident Ross Manley, 32, with fourth-degree larceny after they say he lifted over $1,000 worth of merchandise from a south Wilton business.
The business contacted the PD with the shoplifting complaint and description of the suspect on Aug. 19, 2022. After their investigation, police requested and received an arrest warrant on Dec. 7 for Manley. His bail was set at $50,000, but he was being held on other unrelated charges, and was scheduled to appear at Stamford Superior Court that same date.

On Dec. 9 at around 8:44 p.m., police stopped a Lexus 250h sedan after they say it was travelling 64 mph in a posted 35 mph zone, and swerving over the dotted white lane markers. The driver, Fausto Chacon-Arevalo, 45, of Lincoln Avenue in Norwalk, appeared to be under the influence of alcohol or drugs. Police say they saw an open alcohol container inside the car, and the driver failed to perform the standardized field sobriety tests to standard.
Consecutive chemical testing indicated Chacon-Arevalo had a blood alcohol content of 0.1858 and 0.1864.

Police charged Chacon-Arevalo with speeding, DUI and failure to drive in the proper lane. He was released from custody after posting $250 bond and scheduled to appear in Stamford Superior Court on Dec. 21.
Erik Krobetzky, 50, of Danbury Road, turned himself in to Wilton Police on Dec.9 on an arrest warrant following a road rage incident. The episode occurred Sept. 19, 2022 on Danbury Road in the area of School Street.
Police charged Krobetzky with reckless driving, second-degree breach of peace, and third-degree intimidation based on bigotry or bias.
Krobetzky's bond was set at $25,000, and he was scheduled to appear at the Stamford Superior Court on Dec. 19.
