"Songs of Thanksgiving" in Weston November 20
The Music on the Hill Chamber Chorus performs songs of celebration and thanks in anticipation of the holiday.

Music on the Hill’s premiere choral ensemble will perform “Songs of Thanksgiving” on Friday, Nov. 20, at 7:30 p.m. at Norfield Congregational Church in Weston, 64 Norfield Road.
The group is a 16-voice professional chorus performing advanced repertoire, often a cappella. Artistic Director David H. Connell will conduct.
Hear settings of Psalms by German classical composers (Schütz, Bach, Mendelssohn, and Brahms) and by contemporary American composer Bobby McFerrin.

Other contemporary works include René Clausen’s arrangement of “What a Wonderful World” and a newly released work by Bradley Ellingboe, “Pied Beauty,” which sets to music the famous poem by English poet-priest Gerard Manley Hopkins.
Tickets: $20 in advance at www.musiconthehillCT.org; $25 at the door. Children/students are free.
