Three Car Accident Closes Route 7

A three car accident between Honey Hill and Seeley Roads on Danbury Road closes the thoroughfare, leaving surrounding roads traffic-laden.

A three car accident has closed Route 7/Danbury Road to thru-traffic, causing delays and leaving surrounding roads heavy with traffic.

The accident occurred around 1:30 p.m. on Friday and caused two injuries. At 2:00 p.m. police on scene said they expected to be able to reopen Danbury Road likely within an hour.

*UPDATE: As of 3:00 p.m. Wilton Police report that Route 7 has reopened.

Police, fire, and EMT crews were all on scene, with a tan Toyota Corolla totalled against a guardrail, its airbags deployed. The accident took place at the intersection of Danbury and Seeley Roads and had Route 7 closed between Seeley and Honey Hill Roads.

Traffic on Cannon/Cannondale Road and Honey Hill is heavy as a result and motorists should expect delays and avoid the area if possible.
