Wilton Company Transforms Stamford School Hallway to Help Kids Cope With Trauma
A meaningful mural helps Trailblazers Academy Charter Middle School students heal from trauma.

A blank wall at Trailblazers Academy Charter Middle School in Stamford is getting a makeover to benefit kids with trauma. Epsilon, a Wilton marketing agency, has designed a mural representing ways in which school staff members help keep students emotionally safe.
Epsilon plans a community outreach program each summer to help build employee-community relationships. They chose the professionally designed mural installation as this year’s project as a way to help children who have undergone a traumatic life experience help deal with it through the arts. Epsilon’s “Summer of Service” community service competition is a contest the company participates in that has Epsilon office teams compete against each other in acts of charity. The team with the most associates giving their time, money and donations wins a cash donation for the charity of their choice.
The Epsilon team’s mural represents features of Domus’ trauma-informed approach to support youth who have experienced significant trauma. The team keeps youth focused on the future by building emotional intelligence. Forty staff members of Epsilon Wilton will be on hand to paint the mural and complete various other projects on Friday, Aug. 15.
