Wilton PD Charges Bridgeport Man With Larceny, Burglary

The suspect has been wanted by the police since May of 2018 when police say he broke into a residence and stole round $11,000 in jewelry.

WILTON, CT — Police arrested a man they have accused of multiple burglaries in the area.

On Dec. 12, Daniel Abraham, 46, of Bridgeport, was arrested on a warrant from Wilton when he appeared in Norwalk Superior Court. The warrant stemmed from May 2, 2018, when police say Abraham broke into a residence and stole around $11,000 in jewelry. During the investigation Abraham's DNA was located at the scene and a warrant was issued for his arrest.

"Abraham was avoiding arrest for months and was finally apprehended by Orange Police Department during a burglary," according to Wilton PD Lt. Robert Kluk, who said the suspect was wanted by multiple agencies as well as Wilton, for burglaries he had committed during the last year.

Abraham attempted to use a false name when he was picked up by the Orange PD, but was identified by his fingerprints from prior arrests, according to the police report.

Abraham was charged with second-degree larceny and third-degree burglary, and remains in jail as he was unable to post bond. He is scheduled to appear in court again on Jan. 9, 2020.
