The Wilton Playshop will hold auditions for A Charlie Brown Christmas on Sunday, October 21st at 7:00 pm and Monday, October 22nd at 7:15 pm. Callbacks will be held on Wednesday, October 24 at 7:00 pm. All auditions and callbacks will take place at The Conservatory of Dance, 151 Old Ridgefield Road, Wilton. The Playshop is seeking youthful looking adults for this adult-only cast.
A Charlie Brown Christmas, based upon the Peanuts comic strip by Charles M. Schulz, is back by popular demand and will be presented on December 7-9, 2018. Jeffrey Spector will direct and Christine Titus will choreograph this stage adaptation of the classic animated television special in which Charlie Brown, Snoopy, and the Peanuts gang grapple with the real meaning of Christmas. When Charlie Brown complains about the overwhelming materialism he sees during the Christmas season, Lucy suggests that he become director of the school Christmas pageant. Charlie Brown accepts, but this proves to be a frustrating endeavor. When his attempt to restore the proper holiday spirit with a forlorn little Christmas tree fails, Linus helps him learn the true meaning of Christmas.
