Wilton Police Arrest Log For Apr. 3-9

WILTON, CT — Two DUIs were at the top of the Wilton Police Department's arrest log last week.
On Friday at approximately 2:30 in the morning, the Wilton Police Department received a 911 call from a woman reporting she had struck something while driving on Route 7 and pulled to the shoulder of the rod. Officers responded to the area of 763 Danbury Road and located a blue Toyota Highlander on the shoulder with heavy damage. The SUV appeared to have gone off the road and struck a large section of guardrail, according to the police report.
The driver, Leidy Bejarano-Romero, 35, of Portland Avenue in Ridgefiel "appeared to be under the influence of alcohol or drugs," according to police. Empty alcohol containers were located inside and outside of the Toyota, and Bejarano-Romero failed to perform the standardized field sobriety tests to standard, police said.

Bejarano-Romero refused to submit to chemical testing. Police charged her with DUI, and failure to keep right of the double yellow line. She was released from custody after posting a bond of $250, and scheduled to appear in Stamford Superior Court on Apr. 21.
On Saturday, around 8:37 p.m., police stopped a 2006 Buick Lucerne in the area of Danbury Road and Station Road that was reported as moving erratically. in their report, police said the driver, Luis H. Medina, 44, of Norwalk, failed to preform the standardized field sobriety tests to standard.

Medina submitted to chemical testing, and was charged with DUI and failure to drive right. His bond was set at $250, and he was scheduled to appear at Stamford Superior Court on April 17.
