Wilton Police Arrest Log For April 22-28

WILTON, CT — Speeding, DUI, and a driver's license forgery topped the Wilton Police Department's arrest log last week.
Wilton police officers stopped a 2023 Genesis GV70 which they say was speeding northbound on Danbury Road around 1:21 Sunday morning.
The driver, age 29, from Chipmunk Terrace in Bethel, appeared to be under the influence of alcohol or drugs, according to the police report.

The motorist admitted to police he had consumed alcohol prior to driving, but refused field sobriety testing. He was placed under arrest, and refused to submit to chemical testing.
Police charged the motorist with speeding and DUI. He paid 7 percent of his $300 bond and is scheduled to appear at Stamford Superior Court on May 10.

The Wilton Police Department was notified of a car swerving along in the area of Ridgefield Road and Millstone Road around 10:49 in the evening of April 26. The car had "had possibly struck a rock on the side of the roadway," according to the report.
First responders found a Nissan Altima with a flat passenger side tire. The 72-year-old Stratford man behind the wheel appeared to be under the influence of alcohol or drugs, according to the police report.
The motorist admitted to drinking alcohol prior to driving, and failed to perform the standardized field sobriety tests to standard, police said. He was placed under arrest for DUI and submitted to chemical testing. The results indicated blood alcohol levels of 0.1259. Connecticut residents 21 and older are considered to be legally intoxicated with a blood alcohol concentration of .08 or higher.
Police charged the motorist with failure to drive in the proper lane, and DUI, and scheduled him to appear in Stamford Superior Court on May 10.
Wilton police observed a Subaru Outback speeding on Danbury Road around 12:55 a.m. on April 22. According to the police report, the car was captured on radar traveling 64 mph in a 40 mph zone.
The driver, an 18-year-old from MacArthur Drive in Old Greenwich, was in possession of a fraudulent NY driver’s license., according to police.
The teen was charged with third-degree forgery and speeding, then released on a promise to appear in Stamford Superior Court on May 3.
