On Sunday, May 26, Wilton police stopped a 2015 Hyundai speeding north on Danbury Road at 1:44 a.m. According to their report, the driver, Brian Borruso, 29, of North Scituate, RI, appeared to be under the influence of alcohol or drugs. During the investigation, Borruso admitted to consuming alcohol prior to driving, and failed to perform the standardized field sobriety tests to standard, according to police.

Borruso was placed under arrest for DUI and submitted to chemical testing. The results of the testing indicated blood alcohol concentration levels of 0.1060 and 0.0919 consecutively. Connecticut residents 21 and older are considered to be legally intoxicated with a BAC of .08 or higher.

Borruso was charged with speeding and DU. He was released on a promise to appear at Stamford Superior Court on June 7.

On May 20, Wilton officers advised James E. Pettie, 36, of Chestnut Street in Norwalk, that he was no longer welcome in the Stop & Shop at 5 River Road in Wilton. On May 23 at approximately 11:55 a.m., the Wilton Police Department received a call from the store advising that Pettie had returned. Officers responded, removed Pettie from the store, and charged him with second-degree criminal trespass. He is scheduled to appear in Stamford Superior Court on May 31.

Domenico Caratozzolo, 21, of Mollbrook Drive in Wilton, turned himself in at Wilton Police HQ on May 20. A warrant for his arrest had been issued when he did not appear in court after being charged with driving with a suspended license and failure to grant the right of way.

Caratozzolo was booked and processed, and paid 10 percent of his $5,000 bond. He is scheduled to appear in Stamford Superior Court on May 29.
