Wilton Police Arrest Shelton Man for Possession of Ecstasy
Police had pulled the motorist over for a headlight violation.

WILTON, CT — Police charged a Shelton man with various drug offenses after pulling him over for a motor vehicle violation.
On Friday at around 5:16 p.m. police stopped a 2009 Nissan Altima near the intersection of Danbury Road and Wilton Hills for missing a headlight.
Police say they could detect the odor of marijuana in the car. Following further investigation, police found two previously smoked "blunts" containing marijuana, a digital scale containing marijuana residue, and a purple/blue diamond shaped Ecstasy pill, according to their report.

Ecstasy is a synthetic, psychoactive drug with hallucinogenic and amphetamine-like properties.
Police arrested the driver, Shiloh Coram, of Rushbrooke Lane in Shelton, and charged him with possession of a controlled substance, possession of less than a half-ounce of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia with intent to use, and improper number of headlights.

Coram posted his $250 bond later that day, and was scheduled to appear before Norwalk Superior Court on Dec. 9.
