Police reported they found Meghan Deitz, 45, of 139 Old Plank Road South in Walden, NY in possession of unpaid goods as she was attempting to leave the store.

Dietz was charged with sixth-degree larceny and issued a misdemeanor summons. She was released on a promise to appear in Stamford Superior Court on Sept. 16.

Officers were called to the scene of a single car crash in the area of 170 Skunk Lane on Thursday. Motorist Alexander Orsher, 30, was traveling west and failed to negotiate a curve, leaving the road and crashing his 2010 BMW into a tree, according to police.

Osher, of Wilridge Road in Wilton, and his passenger were taken to the hospital for possible injuries sustained during the collision.

The Wilton Police Department has recovered a bicycle, missing an owner.

On Sunday, around 1 p.m., police retrieved the bike, located along a fence on the property of 71 Ridgefield Road (Old Town Hall). Police said it looked like it was sized for a child age 10 to 13, and is in good condition.
