Wilton Police Make Another Arrest in Campus Jewelers Heist
The suspect was extradited to Connecticut to face felony first degree larceny charges

WILTON, CT — Police have made the third arrest from a jewelry heist that dates back to October 2017.
On Wednesday, Wilton police took custody of Paula Hurtado, 38, of Astoria, on an active arrest warrant, at Bedford Hills Correctional Center where she was incarcerated.
Hurtado was extradited to Connecticut to face felony first degree larceny charges stemming from a 2017 investigation. Police say that Hurtado and three accomplices — two have already been apprehended — conducted a distraction type larceny at Campus Jewelers in Wilton and stole $21,000 worth of merchandise.

Yolanda Santa, 56, of Ridgewood, NY, was the first arrested, in January 2018. Erika Santa, 32, of Jamaica, NY, was arrested a month later.
Hurtado posted a $100,000 surety bond and is due back in court on April 26.

Police report that the fourth and final suspect in the case is currently incarcerated and will be extradited from New York when he completes sentence there.
