Wilton Police Nab Man, Caught Trespassing, Wanted For Grand Larceny
The Wilton PD received a report of an unknown person inside a home on Aug. 31. They say they later learned he was wanted for grand larceny.
WILTON, CT — Police apprehended a Stamford man facing a grand larceny charge in New York after he was reported trespassing in Wilton.
The Wilton Police Department received a report of an unknown person inside an occupied residence on Aug. 31. Lowell Nicholas, 26, of Connecticut Avenue in Stamford, fled the home after coming into contact with one of the residents, according to the police report.
Police said they located Nicholas a short distance away from the house, before he fled again. Officers apprehended Nicholas shortly after in the area of Danbury Road.

Further investigation revealed that Nicholas had an extraditable warrant out of New York for the charge of grand larceny.
The Wilton Police Department charged Nicholas with being a fugitive of justice, simple trespass, and interfering with an officer/resisting arrest. Nicholas was held on $2,500 worth of bonds before appearing in Stamford Superior Court on Sept. 1.
