WILTON, CT — The Registrar of Voters has released sample ballots for the primary elections on Aug. 11.

Following the coronavirus outbreak, the state primaries that were originally scheduled to be held April 28, were moved to June 2, before finally settling on the current date.

On the local Republican side, political newcomer and Wilton resident Kim Healy is on the ballot for the state senate nomination in the 26th District against former state representative for the 2nd District, Bethel resident Will Duff.

Although President Donald Trump and former Vice President Joe Biden are widely viewed as their parties' presumptive nominees, both candidates have competition on the Connecticut primary ballots. California business executive Rocky De La Fuente has qualified on the Republican line, and U.S. Sen. Bernie Sanders and U.S. Rep. Tulsi Gabbard challenge Biden on the Democratic ballot.
