Wilton Woman Charged with DUI, Reckless Endangerment: Police
She was driving with her developmentally disabled daughter when police stopped her.

WILTON, CT -- The Wilton Police Department responded to a complaint about an apparently intoxicated woman picking up her daughter at the Wilton YMCA.
On Wednesday, Aug. 1, staff at the Wilton YMCA called the police to say a woman whom they suspected of being intoxicated had just picked up and left with her daughter in a car.
Police responded minutes later and stopped Michele McLean, 62, driving a 2013 silver Hyundai Elantra on Route 7 near Our Lady of Fatima church. Police discovered that her daughter, reported to have been 10-12 years old, was actually 29 and developmentally disabled.

McLean, of 123 Westport Road in Wilton, failed a field sobriety test, according to police. She was arrested for DUI and later charged with second degree reckless endangerment. McLean was transported to the Wilton police headquarters where she was processed and her blood alcohol level determined to be 0.0711, according to police. She was released later the same day after posting a $260 bond, and is scheduled to appear in Norwalk Superior Court on Aug. 13.
