East Windsor Obituary: Gary Wormstedt, 64

Gary W. Wormstedt, 64, of Broad Brook, loving husband of 43 years to Rose (Modugno) Wormstedt passed away unexpectedly at home on Tuesday, August 9, 2016.

Gary was born May 18, 1952, in Hartford, the son of the late Wayne A. and Faith W. (Jardine) Wormstedt. Gary proudly served in the Connecticut Army National Guard and retired from Kelly-Fradet Lumber in Enfield after many years. He enjoyed fishing and was an avid hunter. He was currently serving as the secretary for the Broad Brook Angling Club and served as past president for over 15 years.

In addition to his wife, Rose he is also survived by three children, Regina L. Agey and husband, David, Michael W. Wormstedt all of East Windsor and Robert J. Wormstedt of Manchester; his grandchildren, Kayla, Amber, Cearra and Lillian Wormstedt and Jordan Agey a great grandson, Jacob Meacham and several nieces and a nephew. Gary was predeceased by a granddaughter Brooke Wormstedt.

Relatives and friends are welcome to join the family on Sunday, August 14, from 2 pm to 4 pm at the Leete-Stevens Enfield Chapels, 61 South Rd., Enfield. A funeral service celebrating Gary's life will be held at 4 pm at the funeral home. Burial will be held at the convenience of the family.
